The Upper Frederick, PA, Volunteer Fire Company took delivery of a 2022 E-ONE Typhoon custom pumper. The rig is powered by a 450-hp Cummins L9 diesel engine and an Allison EVS3000 transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMAX150 single-stage pump, a 780-gallon UPF Poly Tank III water tank, a Class1 Smart Foam system. It also has a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, ROM shutters, Ziamatic hydraulic ladder rack, Little Giant ladder, Voyager rear-facing camera, Crew Guard occupant detection, Federal Signal LED warning lights, Firetech LED scene lighting, Harrison 6kW hydraulic generator, Hannay electric reel and a Federal Q2B mechanical siren.
