Sutphen built this top-mount pumper for Plain Township Fire & Rescue in Stark County.
The rig is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty custom chassis with a 73-inch extended cab and a 10-inch raised roof. The front axle and suspension is rated at 20,000 pounds with the rear rated at 27,000 pounds.
The rig is powered by a Cummins L9 450-hp engine and has a Leece Neville 320-amp along with a Allison Gen 5 EVS3000 transmission.
Suppression equipment includes Hale QMAX 1,500-gpm single-stage pump and a 1,000-gallon water tank.
The body, with over 230 cubic feet of compartment space, is constructed of 3/16-inch extruded aluminum with ROM roll-up compartment doors.
Features include a 24-inch polished stainless steel bumper extension, Federal Q2B siren, Hannay electric cord reel, a 6-kw Smart Power generator, Whelen Freedom IV 23.25” LED lightbars, Whelen PFH2 brow light, FRC Spectra 240V Tele Lights, Whelen M9 12V LED scene light and Whelen M9V2 12V LED scene light.
