Motorist Injured in Crash with Memphis Pumper

May 26--Police are investigating a car accident involving a Memphis Fire Department engine, according to Fire Division Chief Keith Staples.
One woman was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in noncritical condition. No firefighters were injured.
Fire engine 13 collided with a black Kia Optima in the intersection of Summer and East Parkway while responding to an emergency call.
Staples said firefighters were responding to an accident call, and had on their emergency equipment -- sirens and lights -- at the time.
A fire engine from station No. 11 responded to the crash north of Poplar.
