Faribault, MN, Fire Department Rural Fire Association has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-kick tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner cab and chassis.

Faribault, MN, Fire Department Rural Fire Association has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-kick tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 112 cab and chassis. It is powered by a Cummins L9 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. For firefighting, it has a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank and a Hale AP50 PTO pump. It's also equipped with a Newton 10-inch square dump valve on the back with a 36-inch telescoping chute. It's equipped with Whelen warning and scene lights and a hose reel with 100 feet of 1-inch hose and a Kussmaul battery conditioner.
