Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District in Reno, NV has taken delivery of two Midwest Fire side control tanker-pumpers

Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District in Reno, NV has taken delivery of two Midwest Fire side control tanker-pumpers built on a Freightliner 114SD Chassis with Detroit Diesel DD13 12.8L 505-hp engines  and an Allison 4000 RDS automatic transmissions.To fight fire, they have 2,500-gallon APR polypropylene tanks and Hale MBP 1,000 pto pumps. Other features include Newton 10-inch dump valves with 36-inch telescoping chutes on the rear of each apparatus, Zico electric portable tank racks with  2,500-gallon portable tanks, Whelen scene and warning lights, Elkhart Brass electric sidewinder monitors, and a Kussmaul battery and air conditioners with auto eject feature.
