The Townsend, MA, Fire Dept. has received an HME Ahrens-Fox 2,500-gallon tanker. It's built on a 1871-W HME Ahrens-Fox chassis and a MFDxl-12 mid-roof cab with a large windshield. It is powered by a Cummins ISL-9 and an Allison transmission. It has a Hale QMax 1,500-gpm pump and a 2,500-gallon tank.
