New River Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Crumpler, NC, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control, tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis.

New River Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Crumpler, NC, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire side-control, tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner M2 106 chassis with a Cummins L9 350EV hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 3,000-gallon polypropylene tank and a Waterous CSU 1,500-gpm spilt-shaft pump. Other equipment includes three Newton stainless steel 10-inch square dump valves with telescoping chutes, a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 3,000-gallon portable tank, Federal Signal mechanical Q-siren, Whelen warning and scene lights, and a Kussmaul air and battery conditioner with auto eject.
