Firefighters and other first responders around Wisconsin and the county put on an apparatus lights display as a show of solidarity during the coronavirus pandemic.

The event, which was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, was an effort to show unity among fire, EMS and police departments as they serve on the front lines of the current virus outbreak. Departments in Green Bay and around the United States posted videos of their displays on Facebook, as they opened their bay doors to flash their vehicle lights.

The display also was a show of support for workers at hospitals, restaurants, grocery stores and other essential personnel still performing their jobs during the pandemic, WBAY-TV reports. The public also was invited to participate by turning out porch or outside lights for five minutes, the news outlet added.
