Video footage captured a man facing off against a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue apparatus over the weekend and cracking the rig's windshield with a baseball bat.
The incident happened at a Miami intersection Sunday afternoon, WPLG-TV reports. In video from the scene, a man walks into the street and confronts the Miami-Dade apparatus, forcing the vehicle to stop.
The clearly agitated man strikes the apparatus with a baseball bat, damaging the windshield. He then moves to the side and appears to be shooting a cellphone video of the vehicle, which advances slightly in the intersection.
Coral Gables police eventually arrived, and the man—identified as Jesus Santana-Jardines—was immediately handcuffed and taken into custody as he approached the officer. It's not clear why the man attacked the apparatus.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Miami-Dade police are conducting an investigation.
