Summitville, TN, Fire Department Pumper Hydroplanes, Crashes into Car and Utility Pole

While returning from a call, the Summitville Fire Department pumper lost control on a wet road.

A Summitville Volunteer Fire Department pumper crashed into a telephone pole Thursday.

The firefighters were returning from a call when the rig hydroplaned on a wet road, struck a car and slid into the utility pole, WSMV.com reported.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

With the damage to the power pole, the utility reported over 200 customers lost service.
