Meaning for the first time in five years, those workers here in East Orange will get a contract and a pay raise. They will be getting the raise they had asked for, 14 percent over seven years. And it will be retroactive.

This comes after over 100 police officers, and over half of the fire department failed to show up for work today. Yesterday 80 officers stayed home.

We spoke by phone with a representative from the police union, he said their employees will start going back to work as soon as tonight.
