TSE honored Firehouse Expo with three of its coveted "Fastest 50" awards.

May 1, 2017—Firehouse Expo was honored by Trade Show Executive (TSE) Magazine as one of the country’s Fastest 50 growing trade shows. The recognition was made at the magazine’s prestigious Fastest 50 Awards & Summit held in Chicago.

SouthComm Business Media LLC acquired Firehouse Expo in 2014, and two years later was overseeing the show that topped all three Fastest 50 growth metrics, with a 56.2 percent increase in exhibit space, an 86.4 percent jump in exhibitors and a 100.9 percent increase in attendance.

Firehouse Expo’s performance resulted in three Fastest 50 Grand Awards:

  • Fastest-Growing Show Managed by an Independent Organizer
  • Fastest-Growing Fastest 50 Show Overall
  • Rockstar Award

“Being the only national event honored across all three categories is a testament to the commitment and efforts of Editor-in-Chief Tim Sendelbach, Group Show Manager Brian Cassell, and the entire Firehouse team to produce such a successful event,” said Ed Nichols, vice president of events at SouthComm.

The most coveted of the awards, the Rockstar Award, honors exceptional growth, execution and overall excellence. According to TSE, “Superb metrics and renewed customer enthusiasm have this show on the right track.” Integral to the show’s success is its move to Nashville, TN, which paved the way for what TSE called a “spectacular relaunch.”

“The unprecedented hospitality and strong support of our Tennessee partners has opened the doors to countless opportunities,” Sendelbach noted. “Nashville is a great host city, and I’m excited to work with our team to bring some of the nation’s best instructors to Tennessee for an even better conference this year. It’s an exciting time for Firehouse and the American fire service.”

Cassell offered his thoughts on the honor as well: “We are thankful to our industry-leading instructors and exhibitors for joining us on our mission to bring the latest technology, ideas and inspiration to our nation’s firefighters so they can be the best, the brightest and the bravest in the fire service,” adding that this year’s event will feature an expanded educational program, larger exhibit hall and more networking opportunities.

Firehouse Expo will take place October 17–21, 2017, at the Music City Center in Nashville, TN. Register at firehouseexpo.com.
