Period of Performance Extensions Given for FEMA Grants

FEMA is providing period of performance extensions for a series of fiscal year 2018 award recipients.
Here's how the extensions apply to each grant program:
- FY 2018 Fire Prevention and Safety Grant (FP&S) Program: A six-month extension is provided to the subset of awards with a period of performance expiring before Dec. 31, 2021. The original extension requirements will apply to any additional requests or for those recipients with a period of performance expiring after Jan. 1, 2022.
- FY 2018 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program: A six-month extension to the subset of awards with a period of performance expiring before Dec. 31, 2021. The original extension requirements for extensions to the Recruitment and Retention award recipients will apply for any additional requests or for those recipients with a period of performance expiring after Jan. 1, 2022.
- FY 2018 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program: A six-month extension is provided for the awards. The original extension requirements will apply for any additional requests.
Extensions will automatically be provided at the current end of the performance period for the grant awards, and all award recipients will be notified with amended documents. The times for submitting required program performance reports for all FY 2018 grant program award recipients.
