CLEVELAND, Ohio — Police arrested a Cleveland firefighter at a city station after the man was charged with felonious assault, officials said.
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Carlos Jordan II at Fire Station 40, 18930 St. Clair Ave., without incident, said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott.
Jordan, 32, a Cleveland firefighter, has been charged with an attack that happened on May 1, court records show.
He was arrested on a warrant and placed in jail. There was no indication of a bond.
Asked for comment, Cleveland Fire Lt. Mike Norman said in an email, “I’m told he was arrested. We have no comment beyond that.”
Jordan has been a Cleveland firefighter since 2021. He earned about $65,000 last year.
Court records do not list an attorney for Jordan. Since the charge is a felony, a grand jury is expected to consider charges against Jordan at a later date.
Elliott, who leads the marshals’ task force, referred more specific questions about the allegations against Jordan to Cleveland police.
The Plain Dealer and cleveland.com have reached out to IAFF Local 93, the union that represents Cleveland firefighters. The newspaper also reached out to Cleveland Division of Police and City Hall seeking comment.
