The International Association of Women in Fire & Emergency Services (iWomen) is accepting proposals for our 2014 International Conference which will be held February 26 - February 28, 2014, in Tucson, Arizona.
Our 2014 International Conference is committed to finding, enhancing, and strengthening the leader in all women! Our conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tucson –Reid Park.
Our conference attendees come from a wide range of areas within the fire service including chief officers, structural and wildland firefighters, public education specialists, arson investigators, fire service educators, human relations officers, EMS professionals and volunteer firefighters.
Submission Types Individuals may submit topics to be considered as either a workshop (90 minutes) or rapid TED talk session (20 minutes). Topics should address issues relevant to our membership such as: Leadership, Officer Development, Operational and Tactical, Career Counseling, Human Resources and Legal Issues, Team Building, EMS, Prevention, and Safety and Wellness.
Evaluation and Selection The iWomen Conference Planning Committee will review all submissions and select sessions based on relevance, timeliness of the content, and the qualifications of the presenter. Programs offered exclusively at this Conference are recommended. Benefits of Presenting iWomen appreciates the value that each presenter will bring to our conference.
We offer the following benefits to selected presenters: 1. Complimentary registration to our Conference. 2. Complimentary conference bag and materials 3. Presenters will receive an honorarium of $300 to cover travel costs, meals and incidentals.

Submission deadline is September 16, 2013. Proposals must include the following: Title of Session (10 words or less) Complete Contact Information of presenter(s) Type of Session (interactive/practical, lecture, facilitated group, TED talk, discussion, etc.) Brief Description of Session content (please do not send a PowerPoint presentation of your workshop) Length of workshop session (90 or 20 minutes) Description of special equipment or facilities required Maximum number of attendees per session Documentation/bio of your credentials for presenting the workshop.
