Firefighters are pitching in to help fundraising efforts for Mississippi's Toughest Kids Foundation as it begins building a camp for special needs children and adults.

Camp Kamassa in Crystal Springs will cater to children and adults who want to experience the fun of the outdoors but are limited because of serious illness or mental and physical challenges.

The camp will sit on over 320 acres of land about 25 miles from Children's Hospital in Jackson and feature a nature trail, baseball and soccer fields, a beach, equestrian center, ropes course, a swimming pool, archery range and a 15-acre lake.

Visit the organization's website if you'd like to learn more and pitch in to help.
