Late FDNY firefighter Ray Pfeifer, who championed benefits for 9/11 responders, has been honored with a plaque at his Upper West Side firehouse.

Pfeifer died a year ago from cancer related to the eight months he spent on the pile at Ground Zero after the 2001 terrorist attacks.
