An Orange County Fire Rescue battalion chief was demoted three ranks for carrying on am inappropriate sexual relationship with a dispatcher on county property.

Investigators who were tipped off to the affair uncovered thousands of messages between Battalion Chief Darion Butler and dispatcher Kimberly Noe, who used a fire rescue computer system which is meant to be used only for communications about fire scenes or medical emergencies.
