OH Officers Lose Rank in City Downsizing

As part of government downsizing in Youngstown, nine fire department officers have been reduced in rank and a truck taken out of service.

As part of government downsizing in Youngstown, nine fire department officers have been reduced in rank and a truck taken out of service.

"We all have to tighten our belt to be more fiscally responsible with the city's money," Fire Chief Barry Finley said.

The reductions in rank will affect three captains who will drop to lieutenants and six lieutenants who will drop to firefighters.
