The former Dallas Fire-Rescue firefighter was arrested after he was accused of hiding a small camera in a firehouse's downstairs bathroom.

A former Dallas firefighter is accused of planting a camera in a fire station bathroom.

Craig Lawrence was arrested and charged with misdemeanor attempted invasive visual recording after allegedly putting a small camera in a downstairs bathroom at Dallas Fire-Rescue Station 11, WFAA-TV reports. He resigned from the department Jan. 24, days after admitting he planted the device, according to the arrest affidavit.

Following his resignation, Lawrence became a full-time firefighter with the Wilmer department, although he is currently on administrative leave after the arrest. According to the arrest affidavit, he had a history of allegedly telling sexually graphic stories showing explicit photos while working at the Dallas department, WFAA reports.

"It's absolutely inexcusable, and not forgivable at all," Jim McDade, president of the Dallas Fire Fighters Association told the TV station. "A station is where firefighters spend a third of their lives, it's our home away from home, and we expect it to be able to be safe so we can bring our families there."
