FL County Facing Major Firefighter Shortage

Polk County Fire Rescue is facing a major shortage of firefighters with 80 to 100 positions currently vacant while overtime continues piling up to compensate.

"We lost 437 people in the last five years, as of November. That's almost the entire department," Polk County firefighters union President Derek Walsh told WFLA.
