Clark County Fire Capt. Robin Brown, one of the first below-the-elbow amputees hired by a fire department in the US, is retiring after 37 years as a first responder.

Brown, who began his career before the Americans with Disabilities Act was made into law, lost his left hand in a farming accident when he was just 3 years old.
