A Massachusetts firefighter returning home after a three-month Air Force Reserves deployment surprised her daughter last week.
Easton firefighter Michael Eaton had been in Iraq since May in the reserves, where he's a technical sergeant, the city said in a press release. A video captured Eaton, still in military fatigues, surprised his 8-year-old daughter, Brianna.
Eaton joined the Easton Fire Department after graduating from the state firefighting academy in August 2015. He had served 15 years as a paramedic, working for the Topsfield Fire Department, Brewster Ambulance Service and Lyons Ambulance Service.
“We are extremely proud of Mike and his dedicated service to our country,” Easton Chief Kevin Partridge said in a statement. “We are pleased to see him safely return home to his family, and look forward to him rejoining our ranks in the near future.”
East will be back on the job in September.
