Six additional Marion County Fire Rescue fire personnel -- all in command roles -- have been fired following a brutal hazing incident last month.

In November, four firefighters from Station 21 were charged criminally and fired for the  incident at Station 21 involving a 19-year-old colleague, WFTV reported.

The latest terminations -- of officers at the station where the incident occurred -- came after an internal review. None have been charged as there was no indication they participated.

While on duty last month, when a rookie refused to show his coworkers a video on his phone, three firefighters and a paramedic chased him, removed his pants and beat him with a belt. At one point, they took off his underwear and contined to strike him. They chased him across a parking lot and waterboarded him.

Firefighters Tate Trauthwein, 19, Edward Kenny III and Seth Day, both 22, were arrested for kidnapping, robbery and battery.

Paramedic Kaylee Bradley, 25, was charged with robbery and as a principal accessory to robbery.

All have pleaded not guilty.

After the November incident, Marion County Fire Chief James Banta called the incident “unacceptable, inexcusable and fundamentally contrary to the core values of our fire department.”
