Three Marion County firefighters charged after hazing  a rookie co-worker last year pleaded guilty to battery during a court hearing Thursday.

Former Firefighters Seth Day, Edward Kenny, and Tate Trauthwein, accused of waterboarding and restraining a colleague, were sentenced to one year of probation, 100 hours of community service and fined, WCJB reported.

Robbery charges against former Paramedic Kaylee Bradley, who recorded the hazing incident that involved smearing grease on the victim, pulling down his pants and beating him with a belt, were dropped.

The hazing started after the victim refused to show them a video he had on his phone.

After the November incident,vi Marion County Fire Chief James Banta said it “unacceptable, inexcusable and fundamentally contrary to the core values of our fire department."

During the hearing, the victim told the judge he was OK with the plea deal.
