CAL FIRE Firefighter Accused of Raping Women While On Duty
A CAL FIREfirefighter paramedic has been charged with raping women while on duty.
One victim has filed suit against Cal Fire and the state claiming she was held captive and sexually assaulted at the fire station, KTLA reported.
Firefighter/Paramedic David Renteria was charged with several offenses including forcible rape and kidnapping to commit rape.
The woman who filed the suit alleges Renteria took her to a shed behind the fire station, repeatedly raped her and held her against her will, according to the attorney.
The victim told officers the firefighter threatened her children if she did not comply. She managed to escape, and reported the incident to police.
“Under California’s one strike sentencing law, because of these allegations under these specific charges, he would be facing life in prison,” Riverside County Deputy District Attorney Sarah Crowley Crowley said during a court hearing.
