Sidelined Livingston, MT, Fire Chief Sues to Get Back to Work
Livingston's sidelined fire chief wants his job back, and he's suing to get it.
After speaking out about shortcomings and needs of Livingston Fire and Rescue last month, Fire Chief Josh Chabalowski was placed on administrative leave. City officials maintain the department is operating just fine and equipped to serve the residents.
Chabalowski was engaged in a heated conversation with City Administrator Grant Gage, KTVQ reported.
"Do we just not tell the citizens that we are short-staffed and that 500 times last year, no one was in the station?" asked Brittny Chabalowski, his wife.
Among the chief's long-range plan include a ladder truck, a second fire station and an amphibious rescue vehicle.
