Toledo, OH, Deputy Fire Chief Facing Disciplinary Actions After Sexual Harassment Remarks
Toledo's deputy fire chief is on administrative leave amid sexual harassment allegations.
Sufficient evidence was found that Deputy Chief Danny Brown-Martinez made repeated sexual jokes and comments, WTVG reported.
Human Resources officials also determined the deputy chief made comments about women’s breasts and placed his hand on a leg during a meeting in his office.
The investigators suggested disciplinary actions included permanent reassignment.
Following the investigation, Toledo fire officials issued a statement.
“There is currently an internal investigation involving Deputy Chief Brown-Martinez that remains open and ongoing. He is presently on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of that process. Consistent with departmental policy and the collective bargaining agreement, the department will not comment on the specific allegations, circumstances, or details of an ongoing internal investigation.”
