La Vista 650 was manufactured by the Sutphen Corporation of Columbus, Ohio. The ladder on the aerial can be extended 100 feet vertically and almost 89 feet horizontally. The ladder can rotate a full 360 degrees. On the end of the ladder is an aluminum basket that can hold up to 800 pounds. Mounted on both sides of the basket are deluge water guns that can pump over 1,500 gallons of water per minute on a high-rise fire. 650 is equipped with a powerful 450 horsepower, eight-cylinder, Detroit Diesel, and can transport seven firefighters.
