The Colrain Fire Department in Colrain, Massachusetts has taken delivery of an all-new HME rescue pumper with double frame rails and seating for six. It’s powered by a Cummins ISL9-370 diesel engine and equipped with a Hale "Q-Max", 1500-GPM midship pump.
The pumper utilizes a 4x4 chassis vocation, Meritor/Wabco 4-wheel ABS brake system, an ABS mud and snow selector switch, and an Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission,
Other equipment includes an audible alarm for open compartment circuit, Whelen LED step well lights, three-dimensional stainless front grille, heated and remote controlled moto-mirrors with lower convex, cab tilt road interlock, SCBA seating, HME Hydra Technology, brushed stainless steel pump panel finish, and pump panel LED lighting.
The body is equipped with three crosslay beds, backboard storage compartment inside the tank compartment, 200 cubic feet of compartment space, a 63-inch hosebed height, adjustable hosebed dividers, satin anodized finish roll-up doors, seven SCBA tubes, upgraded folding step with an LED light, deep adjustable shelving, pull-out trays, FoxTrax toolboards including a half height pull-out vertical toolboard and a swing-out toolboard.
It's also equipped witha Hale Q-Max 1,500-gpm pump and a 700-gallon polypropylene rectangular water tank and a SmartPower model HR-6 6,200-watt hydraulic generator.
