Spring Grove, IL, Gets 4x4 Type I Ambulance

Members of the Spring Grove, IL, Fire Protection District have put in service a Horton Type I ambulance. It's built on a Ford F-450 4x4 Super Duty cab and chassis powered by a Ford 6.7 liter Power Stroke V-8 diesel engine and a TorqShift, six-speed transmission. It is equipped with Whelen LED emergency warning lights, standard air bags in the patient compartment and standard three-point safety harness in all seated positions.
