DETROIT, MI, APRIL 7, 2012 – Detroit 8th Battalion companies responded to a reported dwelling fire. Engine 44 found a vacant two-story dwelling going throughout. Chief 8 ordered defensive operations on the fire, which was brought under control in about one hour using several handlines and a ladder pipe. Engines 44, 56 and 35, Ladders 18 and 24, Squad 5 and Chief 8 responded to the box alarm.

GLEN ROCK NJ, FEB. 12, 2012 – A two-story ranch house was destroyed by a fire fought by about 40 firefighters. Two men who were in the house escaped. No one was injured. Firefighters from Fair Lawn, Midland Park and Ridgewood also responded.

ROCHESTER, NY, JAN. 4, 2012 – Firefighters responded for a house fire. Midi 7 went on location with a working fire. Engine 17 assumed command. A second alarm was requested for heavy fire with an exposure problem. The deputy chief assumed command and reported an exterior attack for flames coming out of every window. Engines 16 and 1 and Truck 10 responded as the second-alarm companies.

HIGHLAND PARK, MI, MARCH 20, 2011 – Firefighters fought a fully involved two-story structure fire occupied as a commercial laundry service. It took several hours to bring the fire under control. The Detroit Fire Department responded to the scene with a ladder company and a battalion chief.
