The first Pierce Ascendant aerial, a 107-foot straight stick on a single axle, has been delivered to the Malta - McConnelsville, Ohio, Fire Department. It's built on a Pierce Enforcer cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins ISL 9 engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a 1,500-gpm pump and a 500-gallon water tank. It was sold by John Finley of Finley Fire Equipment, McConnelsville, Ohio.
