The Benton Volunteer Fire Company in Benton, Pa., has taken delivery of a new Pumper/Tanker built by Darley on a Spartan cab and chassis. It replaces a 1982 Ford C8000 Engine and a 1986 Ford Tanker. It's equipped with a Darley 1,500 gpm pump with a 220cfm CAF system. It is powered by a Cummins ISL9 450-hp engine and an Allison transmission. It carries 2,000-gallons water on a single axle with side and rear dumps. The unit has four 1.75-inch CAFS speedlays, one 2.5-inch CAFS speedlay, and a pre-connected rear CAFS Blitz-gun line.
