Battalion Chief

Battalion Chief Michael Schwartz, NREMT-P, has been with North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District for more than 25 years where he's held the positions of firefighter, paramedic, and captain. He is currently in charge of emergency medical services which includes ALS engine companies and an ALS transport ambulance service. Mike was integrally involved in launching AED programs with both the fire department and the highly successful community public access defibrillation (PAD) program. Mike is also vice president elect of Nevada Project Heartbeat and a leading author of "HeartSafe Communities" soon to be implemented throughout all 17 Nevada Counties.
