    During his 22 years in the fire service, Tom Louis served as a captain/paramedic, public information officer, department safety officer, mobile data terminal implementation manager, and instructor. He holds associate degrees in fire science and paramedicine. In 2005, Tom graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Fire Service Management.  He has been a trainer with Emergency Reporting since 2011 developing training curriculum, authoring blog articles, and teaching firefighters in Kuwait, Germany, Italy, Japan, and South Korea. Tom retired from the Green Valley Fire District as a battalion chief in 2013. He lives in Tucson, Arizona.
