    Lance Sutton is a 24-year veteran of the fire service who currently serves as the company officer of Ladder 2 at the Murfreesboro, TN, Fire Rescue Department (MFRD). Rising through the ranks of firefighter, engineer and now captain, he has served in various roles with the MFRD, including recruit academy instructor and honor guard commander. Sutton holds multiple Pro Board and International Fire Service Accreditation Congress certifications, including the Center for Public Safety Excellence’s Fire Officer accreditation. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in fire administration from Columbia Southern University and an Associate of Applied Science from Volunteer State Community College.
