Ross Chapman

Ross Chapman serves as a battalion chief with the Arlington Heights, IL, Fire Department. He is a squad leader with Illinois Urban Search & Rescue Task Force 1 and was the technical and training coordinator for the MABAS Division 1 technical rescue team. Chapman has worked in the rope and specialty rescue arena for the past 15 years and currently is the special projects manager for Elevated Safety and is a SPRAT Level III rope access supervisor, specializing in elevated environments. He has a master’s degree in emergency services management and a bachelor’s degree in fire service management and is a certified Urban Search and Rescue Specialist through the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Chapman was a featured guest on The Standard, Fit to Fight Fire and Talkin’ Shop with Outlier Firefighters podcasts and at the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois Health & Safety Conference.
