HOMETOWN HERO -- ASTRONAUT LANDS AT FIRE MUSEUM

As part of NASA Hometown Heroes program, astronaut Michael J. Massimino, of Franklin Square, NY, is presenting an American flag to the New York City Fire Museum on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Museum 9/11 Memorial Room. On his last Shuttle mission, Mike flew this flag in honor of the 9/11 tragedy and the brave firefighters who lost their lives that day. The New York City Fire Museum is located at 278 Spring Street in SoHo.
