1st Annual Firehouse Chili Cook-Off Do you have the BEST Firehouse Chili in the County?
All Winston-Salem & Forsyth County Fire Stations and surrounding city/county Fire Stations, are invited to enter/attend the 1st Annual Firehouse Chili Cook-Off.
Hosted by: Union Cross Vol. Fire Department Auxiliary Saturday March 24th Volunteer Judges will be announced at the Cook-off
Rules and Requirements: Contact [email protected] on or before March 9th to sign up. *$10.00 Fee Per Entry. You may enter more than once; each entry requires a separate fee & form. *Your entry must be at least one large crock pot, or one large stock pot. *Each entry allows one person to eat free (chili and a drink).
*Your entry must arrive at Station 28 (4401 High Point Road, Kernersville, NC) between 4:00 and 4:30.
Judging begins at 4:45. Dinner begins at 5pm $5.00 for Chili and a drink otherwise Fire-dogs provided (children only please) $2.00 for 1 hot dog and drink. Winner receives a Trophy and a Man Cave BBQ Rib Rack. This is a fund-raiser for our station. If we have sufficient entries, we will invite the community to dine at our Chili Cook-Off.
Un-served Chili will be donated to Samaritan Ministries located at 1243 Patterson Avenue in Winston-Salem. A portion of our proceeds will be donated to the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Organization.
