Firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire that broke out at Montefiore Hospital shortly before 2 p.m., the FDNY told us, and reports say an evacuation is under the way at the hospital.

The FDNY said that as of 2:15 p.m. there were no reports to injuries, and that because the fire was so fresh there was no guess on how soon it would be put out.

Published reports said the hospital was evacuating because of heavy smoke.
