Four Pa. Firefighters, Others Overcome by Fumes

BELLEVUE, Pa. -- Several people, including first responders, were hospitalized after being overcome by fumes in Bellevue on Thursday. An elderly womans medical alert system went off, notifying authorities, who responded to the call along Lincoln Avenue. When first responders arrived, they, too, were overcome by unknown fumes. The elderly woman, two police officers and four firefighters, were taken to Allegheny General Hospital. Their names and conditions havent been released.

An elderly womans medical alert system went off, notifying authorities, who responded to the call along Lincoln Avenue.

When first responders arrived, they, too, were overcome by unknown fumes. The elderly woman, two police officers and four firefighters, were taken to Allegheny General Hospital.

Their names and conditions havent been released.

Hazmat crews are at the scene. So far, they have not identified the source of the fumes.
