Pa. Firefighters Rescue Woman Pinned Under Car

Amity Township firefighters rescued a township woman who was pinned under her car in her driveway Wednesday morning after the vehicle, which was in neutral, began rolling backward as she stepped out, authorities said. The woman, whose name was not available, was taken to Reading Hospital by ambulance for unspecified injuries, officials said. Information on her medication condition could not be obtained from the hospital. According to fire officials:

According to fire officials:

Firefighters were dispatched at 5:38 after someone called 9-1-1 from the residence in the 1700 block of Weavertown Road. It was unclear if the woman or someone else made the call.

Rescuers used jacks and other equipment to free the woman, who was pinned by a tire.

Amity police also responded but a report was not available Wednesday.
