Dozens Hospitalized Following D.C. CO Leak

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Forty-three people have been transported and a DC building has been evacuated after a carbon monoxide leak at around 3:25 p.m. Tuesday at 1324 Harvard Street, NW, DC.

The call came in as a medical emergency after several people fell ill.

Multiple units evaluated dozens of people at the three story rehab facility, Second Genesis.

Forty-three people have been taken to the hospital; three people are in serious condition.

Fire crews are working on ventilating the building, which could take several more hours.
