The Connecticut State's Attorney's Office has ruled that there will be no criminal charges filed in connection to a fire that killed two Bridgeport firefighters last summer, according to The Post.

Lt. Steven Velasquez and Firefighter Michel Baik were killed while fighting a fire in the attic of a three-story building on July 24,2010.

The Connecticut State Police Office of State Fire Marshal completed the year-long investigation and determined that the fire began accidentally and that no code violations were found and that the deaths of both men were accidental.

The department had already been cited by OSHA for failing to adequately respond and oversee distress calls, for failures related to safety equipment and was urged to improve fitness training, according to the newspaper report.
