INDIANAPOLIS --
An Indianapolis company is getting creative to thank firefighters who battled a blaze at its building.
Wayne Township firefighters were called to Eagle Magnetic at 7417 Crawfordsville Road last week after a fire in an air-handling system set several large filters on fire, said Division Chief Michael Pruitt.
Crews were able to bring the very smoky fire under control within 20 minutes.
The company showed its gratitude by having crews mow "THANK YOU WTFD" into the grass outside its building.
"We have received verbal, written and thank yous with food, but I cannot recall having anyone mow a message into the lawn," Pruitt said. "It was a very nice gesture on the owners' part."
