The unidentified firefighter -- a driver of from the Eastview Fire Station -- responded with his crew to a fire call at 7604 Duman Way in Dundalk just after 11:30 a.m., department spokeswoman Elise Armacost told Firehouse.com.
He was treated at the scene and was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Armacost didn't know when he would be released, but said that he is conscious and alert.
"The important thing is that it looks like he's going to be fine," she said.
The call firefighters responded to was for smoke from melted wire on a television set that was quickly put out.
