Four adults were killed in a six-alarm house fire early Tuesday morning in Middletown, according to The Star-Ledger.
Crews responded to the fire at the two-story home in the Fairview section of the township at approximately 3 a.m.
The blaze was extinguished at around 4 a.m.
One person managed to escape the fire but the four others perished.
The prosecutor's office is expected to release details, including the cause of the fatal blaze, later this afternoon.
