A five-alarm fire destroyed an abandoned Masonic temple and dance studio in downtown Franklin, Mass. early Friday morning, according to The Milford Daily News.
Crews responded to the fire on Dean Avenue at approximately 2:30 a.m. and evacuated one house adjacent to the building and some students at nearby Dean College were put in lockdown while they battled the blaze.
Four aerial trucks poured water on the structure from above after it was decided it would be difficult to get through its stucco shell.
By 4 a.m. the entire roof had burned through and a short time later the fire was under control.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal.
