Worker Burned in Flash Fire at Cincinnati College
CINCINNATI --
A small explosion and flash fire caused minor injuries to a worker at Cincinnati State.
The school said an outside contractor was working in a room at the Advanced Technology and Learning Center and apparently touched a wire which arced, causing a small flash or explosion.
The worker suffered burns to his face and hands and was transported to a nearby hospital. His name and condition have not been released.
The school said Duke Energy and the Cincinnati Fire Department are trying to determine exactly what happened and are going through every circuit in the building before they bring it back up to full power.
Classes in the building are canceled until power is restored. The school said it hopes to have power back by noon.
